Calvin and Dorothy Rutherford Kibler Memorial Scholarship
The Calvin H. and Dorothy Rutherford Kibler Memorial Scholarship is designated as a general academic award for incoming freshman from Berkeley County, WV. This endowment was established by the Kibler family with the intent to help outstanding Berkeley County, West Virginia residents.
Canadian Parliament Internship Program
The Canadian Parliament Internship is designated for the purpose of sending an intern selected from the honors department or political science department to Ottawa, ON, to participate in the workings of a parliamentary form of government. This annually funded award was created in 2007 by Dr. Mark Curley, a native Canadian and friend of Shepherd University.
Capt. Charles N.G. Hendrix Memorial
The Captain Charles N.G. and Jessie Hendrix Memorial Scholarship is designated for pre-medicine students or those in related fields of research. This endowment was established in memory of Capt. Charles and Jessie Hendrix, parents of Dr. Mary Hendrix '74, a Shepherd biology graduate and internationally renowned medical researcher. Capt. Charles N.G. Hendrix served with distinction at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, and as a tribute, the Hendrix Oceanography Laboratory was built at the academy.
Capt. Joseph G. Kime III Memorial Scholarship
The Capt. Joseph G. Kime, III Memorial Scholarship is designated as a general academic award for veterans or children of veterans from Jefferson County, WV. This endowment was established in part by “Freedom Lives” donations made in memory of Captain Joseph Kime, III, the only Jefferson County casualty of the Persian Gulf War in 1991.
Carl K. Rauch and Susan Besaw Rauch Endowed Scholarship for Business
The Carl K. Rauch and Susan Besaw Rauch Endowed Scholarship for Business is designated for students majoring in business or accounting. This endowed fund was created by the late Carl K. Rauch '58, a former professor of mathematics at Shepherd, to honor his former wife Susan, a retired assistant professor of accounting at Shippensburg University.
