Percy H. and Hubert D. Lowry Memorial Scholarship
The Percy H. and Hubert D. Lowry Memorial Scholarship is designated as a general academic award for WV residents. This endowment was established in memory of Percy Lowry '14 and Hubert Lowry '17 by their sister, Mary.
Peter and Solomon Shriver Memorial Scholarship
The Peter and Solomon Shrive Memorial Scholarship is designated as a general academic award for Shepherd students who are descended from either Peter or Solomon Shriver, who immigrated from Holland to America in 1748. This endowment was established in 1991 by Harold Shriver. Eligible students must self-identify with the Office of Financial Aid.
Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship is designated as a general academic award for members of Phi Theta Kappa. This endowment was created by the Shepherd University Foundation and is awarded by the admissions office.
Phil Porterfield Women's Volleyball Program Scholarship
The Phil Porterfield Women's Volleyball Program Scholarship is designated for student-athletes on the Shepherd University Women’s Volleyball team, or high school student-athletes and prospective members of the Shepherd University Women’s Volleyball program. This annually funded award was created in 2020 by Phil Porterfield of Charles Town, WV, who has served as the official scorer for the Shepherd University Women's Volleyball team since 2006.
Philip W. Fearnow Scholarship
The Philip W. Fearnow Scholarship is designated as a general academic award for Shepherd students who graduated from a high school in Berkeley County, WV. This deferred endowment was created in 2021 by Shepherd alumnus Philip W. Fearnow '62.
Piedmont, WV High School Scholarship
The Piedmont High School Scholarship is designated as a general academic award for students who self-identify as direct descendants of Piedmont High School graduate or who reside in Piedmont, WV (zip code 26750) . This endowment was established by a Piedmont High School graduate in tribute to the spirit and memory of Piedmont High School, and in honor of its graduates, faculty and staff.
Prestigious National Scholarship Program Fund
The Prestigious National Scholarship Program fund is designated as general program support for students in the pursuit of prestigious national scholarships, such as the Fulbright and Rhodes Scholarships. This annually funded award was created by Shepherdstown residents Paul and Lisa Welch, who are actively involved in the Shepherd University campus community.
Preston Elliott and June Oland Best Memorial Scholarship
The Preston Elliott and June Oland Best Memorial Scholarship is designated for secondary education majors from Berkeley and Jefferson Counties in WV and Frederick County, MD. This endowment was created in 2021 by Shepherd alumnus Preston Best, Jr. '70 in memory of his parents, whom he wished to honor for their encouragement and support in his pursuit of a college education.
Professor Sharon R. Drummeter Endowed Scholarship for Nursing
The Professor Sharon R. Drummeter Endowed Scholarship for Nursing is designated for nursing students. This endowed fund was established by Louis Drummeter, III after his wife's passing in 2012 from cancer. Sharon Drummeter was a beloved assistant nursing professor at Shepherd, exemplifying service and volunteerism at its best.
R. E. Knutti, MD Fund in Memory of John G. Knutti
The R.E. Knutti, MD Fund in Memory John G. Knutti is designated as program support for Shepherd University's Scarborough Library. This endowment was established by Dr. Sarah Knutti to honor both her husband, Dr. Ralph Knutti, and his father, John Knutti, former president of Shepherd College from 1903-1909.
