WISH awards 2023 grants to Girls on the Run Shenandoah Valley, Jefferson County Community Ministries, Shepherd University Department of Natural and Physical Sciences, Environmental Science Program and Shepherd University Department of Social Sciences, Social Work Program
WISH awarded four grants totaling $142,000 collectively to community nonprofits Girls on the Run Shenandoah Valley and Jefferson County Community Ministries, and Shepherd learning projects Department of Environmental and Physical Sciences and the Department of Social Sciences, Social Work Program on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Erma Ora Byrd Hall. The event was sponsored by John Wolff ’88, Wealthspire Advisors, LLC, and his wife, Lisa Wolf ’87. Each grant was in the amount of $35,500.
With this ninth grant award cycle, WISH has given out $1,011,500 to date in grant funding. The one million mark was surpassed by the renewal and recruitment of 284 members in 2022.
