The Scholar Spotlight this week features elementary education major Erica Foreman. Erica is the recipient of the West Virginia Society of DC Scholarship.

“The scholarship has made me feel more secure,” said Erica. “I don’t have to worry about how I’ll afford college. It also takes the burden off my mom and gives my younger siblings a greater advantage if they wish to attend college after me. Overall it has encouraged me to pursue a higher education as a first generation student.”
