Scholar Spotlight: Environmental Sciences Major Ferris Sinnas

In honor of Earth Day, it’s only fitting to recognize junior environmental sciences major Ferris Sinnas as this week’s featured scholar. Hailing from Falls Church, VA, Ferris is the recipient of the Florence and Velma Shaw Memorial Scholarship, a general academic award recognizing outstanding junior resident assistants.

“This scholarship has meant to world to me,” says Ferris. “It’s allowed me to focus on my passion for environmental science and it’s helping me to achieve my goal of working actively in the field in order to preserve our environment.” Happy Earth Day, Ferris!
