WISH Five Year Anniversary Celebration

WISH will be celebrating its five year anniversary on Sunday, April 28 from 2-4 p.m. at Erma Ora Byrd Hall. Enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres with other WISH members and past grant recipients from the first five grant cycles.
The program will include presentations by the 2018 community nonprofit recipients CASA and the Good Samaritan Clinic and 2018 Shepherd learning project recipients Tabler Farm Initiative and the Catherine Weltzheimer House Restoration project. Rebecca Powers, who in 2003 founded the women’s giving circle Impact Austin in Austin, Texas, will give the keynote address. To date, Impact Austin has awarded over $6 million dollars in grants to local nonprofits around Austin.
In celebration of the five year anniversary, each attending member is encouraged to bring $5 to donate. Every organization that has made the final ballot, but has not won a grant award, will be placed in a drawing to receive the collected donations.
