Scholar Spotlight: Psychology Major Heather Jones

This week, the Scholar Spotlight is on Shepherd senior Heather Jones, a psychology major from Martinsburg and recipient of the C. Brown and Hazel M. Hendricks Scholarship. Designated in support of students majoring in home economics and family life, or related fields such as psychology, arts, and music, the endowment was established by Hazel Hendricks ’34 to honor her and her husband’s high regards for a Shepherd education.

“Receiving the C. Brown and Hazel M. Hendricks Scholarship has increased my confidence and helped me obtain the tools I needed for my studies,” says Heather. “It has also helped me show my daughter the value of education and hard work.”
