Women Investing In Shepherd (WISH) Offers Exciting High Impact Grant Opportunities for Shepherd, Nonprofits

Non-profits and Shepherd University groups addressing critical community needs are invited to submit letters of inquiry to Women Investing in Shepherd (WISH) for the group’s 2022 awards.

WISH will award two nonprofit grants in the amount of $31,875 each and two Shepherd University learning project grants in the amount of $31,875 each for the 2022 grant cycle. Qualifying non-profit organizations must be designated as 501 (c) (3) public charities. Organizations and groups affiliated with Shepherd must be university sanctioned. Applicants submitting an inquiry by March 15, 2022 will be notified about eligibility to submit a formal grant proposal.

In 2021, WISH awarded four grants totaling $125,000 collectively to community nonprofits Berkeley County Meals on Wheels and Shenandoah Community Health Foundation, and Shepherd University learning projects College of Business Analytics Lab and the Life Long Learning Program Hybrid Learning Classroom. $742,000 has been awarded in high-impact grant funding over seven grant cycles.

WISH, a women’s giving circle comprised of both alumnae and community members, was established in 2014 by the Shepherd University Foundation.  WISH was created to educate, engage and empower women to achieve their philanthropic goals.
