WISH Letters of Inquiry are Now Being Accepted for the 2017 Grant Awards
Women Investing in Shepherd (WISH) is now accepting applications for nonprofits and Shepherd learning projects that meet the following criteria:
– Responses to urgent and critical needs
– Bold new ventures; or
– New approaches to ongoing challenges
Nonprofit applicant organizations must have a current 501 (c) (3) determination from the IRS and must be based in and primarily serving the following counties: Jefferson, Berkeley, Morgan, and Hampshire counties in WV; Frederick, Loudoun, and Clarke counties in VA; and Frederick and Washington counties in MD.
Shepherd learning project applicants must be recognized as an approved academic, athletic, cultural, or community service program carried out by students, faculty, and/or staff, and sanctioned by the supervising Vice President or Dean.
The 2017 nonprofit and Shepherd learning project grant pools are estimated to be $51,250 each. WISH will award up to two equal grants of $25,625 in each category. Applicants must show a need for use of this high impact amount in a time span of no greater than three (3) years.
