This week in the Scholar Spotlight is Olivia Reese, a sophomore elementary education major from Ellicott City, Maryland. Olivia is the recipient of two Shepherd University Foundation scholarships designated for student-athletes, the Deborah Dhayer Scholarship and the Ruth Yates Family Scholarship, and one general academic scholarship, the Florence and Velma Shaw Memorial Scholarship.

“I want to start by saying thank you for providing me with the opportunity to apply for these scholarships,” said Olivia. “These scholarships really mean a lot to me. I am one of four children in my family and the fact that the Foundation was able to provide me with this opportunity is incredible. I am very thankful for this foundation and any extra help that I can get from them each year.”
