Scholar Spotlight with Olivia Gill

The Scholar Spotlight this week shines on elementary education major Olivia Gill. Olivia is the recipient of the Charles David and Sarah Reynolds Ebert Memorial Scholarship designated in support of students from West Virginia majoring in elementary education. This award was created by Shepherd alumnus John Reynolds ’64 in honor of his aunt and uncle who made it possible for John to begin his career with the federal government by offering him affordable housing in their basement apartment when he moved to Washington, D.C. Charles and Sarah were both graduates of Shepherd College.

“This scholarship has impacted my ability to attend school,” said Olivia. “This scholarship provided me with more ease in attending school.”
