Scholar Spotlight with Natalie McGeachy
This week our Scholar Spotlight is on Natalie McGeachy, a freshman music education major from Winchester, VA. Natalie is the recipient of the William E. Moler Scholarship.
Known to all as Ned, William Edward Moler will be remembered with gratitude and appreciation by the generations of Shepherd students who receive scholarship awards in his name. After retiring from a successful career with IBM, he chose to leave his estate to the Shepherd University Foundation to endow the William E. “Ned” Moler Scholarship. Each year into perpetuity, Ned’s gift provides more than two dozen general education awards to deserving Shepherd students, influencing the lives of untold scholars who carry his legacy into the future. For Natalie, this charitable foresight has made all the difference.
“The William E. Moler Scholarship means a great deal to me as it made possible the opportunity for me to go to college and pursue my dream of becoming a band director. I am honored to receive it,” she said.
