This week our Scholar Spotlight shines on graduating senior Meghan Stambaugh of Bunker Hill, WV. Meghan is majoring in secondary education – physical education and is a recipient of the Dr. Sara H. Cree Scholarship. This endowed fund was established by the late Dr. Cree, who served as the head of the Physical Education department at Shepherd for many years. In 2018 Shepherd honored the life and legacy of Dr. Cree with a permanent display featuring memorabilia from former Sara Cree Hall, which was razed in the summer of 2017.

“It means a lot to me to have been selected to receive the Dr. Sara H. Cree Scholarship,” said Meghan. “It is deeply humbling.”
