This week’s Scholar Spotlight features nursing major Joshua Kamara. Joshua is a recipient of the Jason G. Regester Memorial Scholarship.

This endowment was established in 2003 by the parents of Jason Regester ’02, a Shepherd graduate who was killed in a car accident. Jason’s life made a lasting impact, especially in his nursing work at Johns Hopkins. He kept a journal throughout nursing school and planned to write a book titled “Nursing from the Male Perspective.”

“This scholarship is a gift that I am thankful for,” Joshua expressed his gratitude for the award.
