The Scholar Spotlight this week features historical preservation and public history student Joanna Schoonover. Joanna is a recipient of the Moler General Scholarship. This fund was named in honor of one of the founders and longtime president of the Foundation, Dr. James M. Moler. Donors who wish to build for the future of Shepherd University by making endowed gifts for scholarships may choose to give to this fund in any amount.

“Receiving this scholarship has allowed me to concentrate more of my college savings towards textbooks, school supplies, and other necessities,” said Joanna. “I’m so grateful the Foundation has helped me continue my education so I may pursue my future goals and career. Accessible education is so important to my generation as we prepare to contribute to our nation’s future.”
