This week’s Scholar Spotlight shines on history major Eve Garretson. Eve is a recipient of the Pack Horse Ford, NSDAR Scholarship Award in Memory of Ruth Power Thacher. The award supports students from Jefferson and Berkeley counties majoring in education and historic preservation.

“Having this scholarship is helping me to pursue my degree in history, particularly my interest in historical preservation,” said Eve. “I have been interested in history for most of my life. After I graduate, I plan on working at a historical battlefield or museum.”
