Scholar Spotlight with Caitlyn Reinhardt
This week’s Scholar Spotlight features elementary education major Caitlyn Reinhardt. Caitlyn is a recipient of the Carl K. Rauch Endowed Scholarship for Education. Designated for students majoring in education, this award was created by the late Carl K. Rauch ’58, a former professor of mathematics at Shepherd whose legacy includes several student scholarships established across multiple disciplines.
“Through the generosity of the donors of the Carl Rauch Education Scholarship, I have been able to continue my academic journey here at Shepherd in order to become an elementary educator,” said Caitlyn. “I would like to thank the sponsors of this scholarship for enabling me to ease the financial burden that college brings so I am able to focus solely on my academics. I am beyond grateful for the opportunities this scholarship has allowed me to take and the doors it continues to open within my aspiring field.”
