Scholar Spotlight series continues with Sarah Hartle
We are thrilled to welcome back our Scholar Spotlight series with history major Sarah Hartle!
Sarah is a senior from Inwood, WV and a recipient of the Mary C. Enright Scholarship. Mary Duke Enright, a 1936 graduate of Shepherd University who became a teacher in the Montgomery County, MD school system, established this award in support of history students. Mary was also a founding member of the Joseph P. McMurran Society.
“As a history student, it means a lot to become part of both the history of the scholarship itself and a part of the university’s history,” said Sarah. “Hopefully the other recipients and I have made Mrs. Enright proud, and with any luck, future recipients will continue her legacy of learning and teaching.”
