Scholar Spotlight: Nursing Major Sarah Puckett

This week’s featured scholar is junior Sarah Puckett of Mt. Airy, MD. A nursing major, Sarah is the recipient of the Loats Foundation Scholarship, a general academic award established in 1992 by the estate of John Loats in support of students who wish to pursue a career in public service.

“This scholarship has allowed me to study my dream career with a lesser financial burden,” says Sarah, adding, “It gives me a reason to work harder to prove to the donors that their funding is so greatly appreciated.”
