Scholar Spotlight: Graduate Student Joanna Martinez

This week’s Scholar Spotlight features Joanna Martinez of Frederick, MD, a first-year graduate student at Shepherd pursuing her master’s of arts in teaching. A recipient of the John R. Conard Science Fund, Joanna says, “This scholarship has been a tremendous benefit! It has given me the opportunity to further my education and taught me the importance of mentorship. Teaching is my focus and teaching my undergrad students various scientific protocols has been a great experience!”
