Scholar Spotlight: Computer Information Sciences Major Amanda Frazier
Our Scholar Spotlight this week is on Amanda Frazier, a self-described “super senior” and Computer Information Sciences major from Martinsburg. Amanda is the recipient of the Mary Elizabeth Lewis Memorial Scholarship, established by Donald and Alice Lewis for students majoring in either CIS or music in memory of their daughter, Mary Beth, a former Shepherd student who passed away at the age of 31. It was her parents’ wish to support Shepherd students who share the same passions that Mary Beth once did. Amanda is grateful for this, saying, “Knowing that I’m supported by the community in my academic endeavors is amazing and helps me to have confidence in what I’m doing.”
