Please join Evan Boggess, director of Shepherd University’s Phaze II Gallery, for a virtual discussion on the unique and complex methods used in creating process-oriented art, such as the piece seen above.

Evan is a native West Virginian artist who currently maintains a home studio in the eastern panhandle. His work is widely shown, with recent exhibitions in Taos, NM; Miami, FL; Baltimore, MD; Chicago, IL; Arlington, VA; Asheville, NC; Cincinnati, OH; Raleigh, NC; Scranton, PA; and numerous spaces throughout West Virginia. In addition to his role with The Phaze 2 Gallery, Evan is also a full-time lecturer in studio art at Shepherd. His presentation will focus on the details surrounding his painting process, why it is so elaborate, how it relates to the history of art, and how it fits into contemporary discourse.

This event will take place via Zoom. Instructions will be sent upon registration.
