Tyson Bagent is one of Shepherd’s most decorated and celebrated student-athletes and is a symbol of excellence, perseverance, and Ram pride.

Now, the Gridiron Club is seeking to cement his legacy at Shepherd by naming Ram Stadium in his honor.

A Martinsburg, West Virginia native, Tyson rewrote the record books as Shepherd’s quarterback, earned the Harlon Hill Trophy as the nation’s best Division II player, and inspired countless fans with his leadership on and off the field. Tyson motivated his teammates, our campus, and our community with his grit, humility, and leadership. His rise to the NFL has brought Shepherd national recognition and reminded the world of what can be achieved right here in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, the heart of Appalachia.

Help the Gridiron Club commemorate Tyson’s history-making career at Shepherd and inspire future generations of student athletes to dream big, work hard, and represent Shepherd with pride.

Together, we can ensure that Tyson remains a symbol of excellence, perseverance, and community pride—values that he represents at the highest level.
