The Albert H. and Estelle Koonce Cobb Memorial Research Fund is designated for science and technology research. This endowment was originally established by funds given in 1993 by Albert Cobb ’50 in memory of his wife and several other family members. Upon Albert’s passing, previous gifts made on his behalf were transferred to the Shepherd University Foundation.
The Alice Wright Frank Memorial Scholarship is designated for music students. This endowment was established as a memorial to Alice Wright Frank by Dr. Guy Frank, who was a former chair of the Department of Creative Arts at Shepherd University.
The Allegheny Power Scholarship is designated as a general academic award. This endowment was established in 1986 by Potomac Edison.
The Alma Lee Strider Christian Scholarship is designated for business or communications majors. This endowment was established in memory of Alma Lee Strider Christian, who attended Shepherd College before graduating from the College of William and Mary in 1938.
The Almyra P. Lemen Memorial Scholarship is designated in support of student athletes participating in women’s basketball, cheerleading, lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis, and volleyball. This endowment was established by Almyra Lemen through an estate bequest. Though not a Shepherd graduate herself, Ms. Lemen wished to honor the town and university that were part of her childhood and family history.
The Shepherd University Alumni Association Scholarship Endowment is designated as a general academic award with first preference given to a Shepherd University graduate or the child, spouse, or sibling of a Shepherd University graduate. This endowment was created in 2010 by the Shepherd University Alumni Association
