Scholar Spotlight: Chemistry Major Mike Fagiola

The Foundation is always proud to recognize our scholars for their outstanding academic achievements, which is why we’re happy to introduce a new weekly Facebook series we’re calling “Scholar Spotlight.” First up is Mike Fagiola, a senior from Bayville, NY, majoring in chemistry, with a focus on analytical and biochemistry. Mike is the 2014-15 recipient of the John E. Diehl Scholarship in support of chemistry majors.

“It was a fantastic surprise to learn I received this award and I am very grateful for it,” he said of his scholarship. “My curiosity and desire to understand how the world works from a scientific viewpoint meant long hours of studying and synthesizing all of the information I could from my courses, and it’s extremely rewarding to be recognized for it. Thank you!”
